Overcome regrets about the past and worries about the future. Bring positive changes to your life with two inspirational videos about ‘Time’ by Thich Nhat Hanh and Abraham Hicks
Overcome regrets about the past and worries about the future
Oftentimes, you feel regretful about the past. Uncertain about the future. It’s a special moment to rethink about “Time”.
Among those of us who went through burnout, felt stuck in career, or difficult time, we might be lost in regrets of the past, or worries about the future. One common thought might be: Why did it happen to me this way this year? We get ourselves overwhelmed by all repeating thoughts. “This and that could have been different if we, or someone else, had done it differently!”.
In a similar way, we might want to take a step forward, for example in a career change, or create a life which is different. But we are uncertain about the next steps. “How do I figure out what I need to do?” Or “What will happen next year if I continue to be in this state?”
How to avoid regretful thoughts about the past or worries about the future? Watch two short videos and try out their helpful philosophy to bring you positive changes.
First video: “The past is only there for the present to be” – Thich Nhat Hanh
One thing I learned was always helpful to me: Mind the time zone we are with our thoughts. “Oh, I’m regretting, I’m in the past. It’s the wrong time zone. I need to move back immediately”. Or “I’m worrying about the future, I need to come back to the present”. And start, at that very second, mind everything around you, concentrate on your breath and stay anchored in the present moment.
Watch the short video below of Thich Nhat Hanh and get yourself inspired by Buddist wisdom. He says: “The past, the present, and the future, they inter-are. That is why when you know how to touch the present moment deeply, you touch eternity. You touch the past, and you touch the future”.
And, you might find out with me through the video, that the role of the past is not for us to be lost in it. “The past is there only for the present to be”(Thich Nhat Hanh). It was powerful for me to learn that when we are fine in this present instant, the past can’t overwhelm us, and the future will be fine as well.
“When you know how to touch the present moment deeply, you touch eternity. You touch the past, and you touch the future”Thich Nhat Hanh
Second video: Rather than thinking about time, think about “expansion” – Abraham Hicks
Each time I see myself on the edge of burnout, lack of passion, fearful about the future, I try to take perspectives. Perhaps you agree with me, that from far, or on high attitude, all things seem to be insignificant, or at least, less significant than it actually impressed us.
Therefore, take a step back about “time” can bring very positive energy. Can you believe, and know, that the “time-space reality is only a structure for us to create and expand” (Abraham Hicks)? Then, believe me, for you, things have changed completely its dimension.
Listen to one of the most powerful teachings that I received from Abraham about time. “The reason that you have come forth into this wonderful time and space reality, it is because […] that helps you to focus, to know your progress […] as a deliberate creator”. Yes, a creator by our own thoughts and emotions. Join me, watch the short video and inspire yourself.
“Rather than saying, ‘It takes that much time for me to accomplish this’, we would say, ‘I have to be this happy to accomplish this’. And ‘how much time will it take me to get that “happy”?’ is up to you”.Abraham Hicks
Two things to remember
The two short videos are powerful inspirations on how to overcome our regrets of the past and our worries about the future. Two lessons that are worth remembering. First, “stay in the right time zone – the present moment”. And secondly, “Instead of thinking about time, think about expansion”.
Will you and I start right now, at this moment, thinking about how our positive thoughts can bring us closer to the future we want?
